Göbekli Tepe is an archaeological site located in the Southeastern Anatolia Region, approximately 12 kilometers from the city of Şanlıurfa and is considered to be the oldest known temple complex in the world. Dating from approximately 9600 to 9500 years ago, at the beginning of the Neolithic Age, it has profoundly influenced human history and changed the understanding of history as we know it so far. The discovery of Göbekli Tepe showed that hunter-gatherer communities were advanced enough to build complex structures. STRUCTURAL FEATURES AND STONE CARVING

Among the most remarkable features of this complex are the T-shaped monolith stones, ranging in height from 3 to 6 meters. Various animal figures and symbols were carved on these stones.
